When I’m designing a garment I use functionality as a design detail, with removable, detachable and reversible features this allows multiple ways to wear a garment. Whilst transforming an outfit and creating a unique style, these are ways to streamline your child’s wardrobe with sustainability in mind. Your children can participate in choices, increase the possibility of clothing style, but also can extend the service cycle of clothing. All garments are made from good quality materials, made well and made to last.
Items of clothing that offer more than one way to wear are becoming more and more important as the desire for value (as in multiple-use, seasonless colours and sturdy materials) continue to drive kidswear. Our ‘tracksuit’ keeps true to our brand with convertible features that can be zipped on and off in practical and gender-neutral transseasonal colours. I will be introducing new colours in theΒ unisex tracksuitΒ range over the coming seasons, as we only produce small amounts keeping the designs and colours exclusive and unique pieces, (not mass produced).
πModular fashion: clothing items that have detachable pieces, so that one can easily alter the clothing item to suit changing needs and tastes over time. This is how the hoodie and joggers work, easily transforming into a gilet and 3/4 length shorts when needed.
πThere are simple but transformative ways to make core pieces in your wardrobe work harder and fulfil different roles.
πOne piece that you could wear in multiple ways.
πEach feature can be switched depending on your mood, event or weather; long sleeves, short sleeves or no sleeves! And all sleeves from our Lola Starr range can be interchanged with that unique design, by changing the look and colour of an outfit.
πValue for money; next season you can easily add or remove features as the temperature changes and perfect for travelling and action packed days out. Additional sleeves can be purchased separately.
Β
πThe transformation of a garment, effectively evolving its functional form.
πDesigned to streamline your wardrobe with sustainability in mind.
πAllowing for your child’s constant growth, and receiving the maximum use from one transformable garment.
I am working on new designs at the moment which have reversible features for both mother and daughter, my first MINIME collection.
