“Art you can wear”
This month we celebrate 4 years since I’d developed the original design of the 365-day dress for Lola Starr, and with that I wanted to reinvent the dress. The 365-day dress is designed to take your little ones through all four seasons.

Lola Starr’s children’s wear has always been about fun fashion for children, expressing themselves while making independent fashion choices, through colours, texture and fabrics with our unique sleeve changes.

Lola and I felt that we wanted to add to the original design and make more unique pieces of clothing. Using Lola’s face; the silhouette that can be seen across our range of organic cotton t-shirts. We had this printed in vinyl onto the dress and experimented with fabric paints and washing techniques.

With us wanting to make statement pieces of wearable art, I approached a good friend of mine, Wren who is a Liverpool based, emerging contemporary artist, and asked if she’d like to collaborate. We discussed the fact that the silhouette was blowing out messages like on the t-shirts, and we were excited to see what Wren produced.

We absolutely LOVE how these pieces of wearable art have turned out. They launch on June 16th and will be made to order. Available from age 4-10 the shift style dresses are a loose and easy fit, with detachable sleeves. No two pieces will be the same, these pieces are individually designed, if your little one likes something different then this is the dress for them.
